Choice of program version

Before program installation, you should choose and download suitable version of program. At that moment, program is available for systems PocketPC 2000 (Windows CE 3.x) with processors ARM, SH3, MIPS, PocketPC 2002 with processors ARM, Windows Mobile 2003/SE and Windows Mobile 5.0. Fundamentally, version for system PocketPC 2000 should work with each new versions of skylights, but I recommend to install version which is dedicated on concrete platform.

Choice of way of installation

VGAKEY can be installed by ActiveSync program from PC computer, or directly on PDA devices, when starting suitable file .cab.

Before installation/uninstallation

Before accession to program installation - if we have already installed VGAKEY version - or before program uninstallation you should do activities in following order:
1. To enter into options of VGAKEY keyboard and to switch off option "quick-witted keyboard" (Start Up) - that is to say the start of the key board with the system.
2. To execute soft reset of device. After restart, standard system keyboard should appear (if it doesn't happen, you should come back to step 1) key board .
3. To start installation/uninstallation (Start->Setting->System->Remove Programs), without looking into options of keyboard so that object of keyboard did not become loaded)

This type of software is recommended to be installed in RAM memory, not on SD/CF memory cards. Installation on memory card can cause irregular comportment of operating system when option of start of program with a system is ON, or when card will be removed from microreader, and the object of keyboard is loaded to memory.

Program is not large and does not take a lot space in memory (about 200 KB).

The installation through ActiveSync (.exe)

In case of installation through ActiveSync connection, installation file should be downloaded (.exe) for proper system- platform , to start and proceed according to information on screen. Installer will choose the version of processor (if it is available) on its own.

Installation from file (.cab)

In case of the installation from file (.cab) you should choose suitable version for system- platform as well as for processor which is in device. This way of installation is recommended to thee people, who download program directly from internet on device, or do not prefer method of the installation through ActiveSync.
